The traditional question of “how much risk are you willing to take?” is fundamentally flawed. Instead, we believe that you should evaluate your future financial goals first and then work backward, discovering how much risk you need to take in order to reach those goals.

Our tailored portfolios, which take into account your future financial goals, are designed to help our clients both participate in up markets and protect portfolios during down markets. By adhering to traditional asset allocation, we build personalized portfolios aimed at helping clients achieve successful financial futures.

For the second year in a row, Frank Reilly, President of RFA, was listed on the Barron’s Top 100 Independent Financial Advisors in the United States, further showing our dedication to providing Fiduciary Standard services to clients, acting in their best interest, both at home and abroad.

Integrated Planning

Financial Planning

Investment Management is at the core of what we do. However, if your advisor focuses solely on investment management and doesn’t take a comprehensive wealth management approach, your chances of future financial success are reduced dramatically.

At Reilly Financial Advisors, we take into consideration all aspects of our clients’ lives. Our tenured team understands that successful retirement requires holistic advice, and provides guidance on all things big and small from “should I pay cash or lease my car?” to “is it better to pay off my mortgage or put that money into my retirement account?”

Moreover, we understand and are able to address and apply cross-currency risk. This unique knowledge allows us to provide clients with invaluable information, allowing them to make very informed decisions regarding their compensation and debt structures.

Tax Planning

Most importantly to note, the U.S. is the only developed country currently taxing worldwide income accumulated while living outside of the U.S. This must always be at the forethought of those living and working overseas. Because our team has worked with expats so extensively, we understand this and it is at the core of our tax planning strategies.

Additionally, it’s important to remember that efficient tax strategies include vigilant selection of particular investments, as well as the timing of the purchase and sale of those investments. Our tax-related review process involves an in-depth analysis of each client’s financial situation in order to align their financial goals with efficient and effective tax planning. Our team includes an experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a deep understanding not only of tax preparation, law and IRS regulations, but also of our investment strategies. This combination can help provide clients with the benefits and resources for efficient tax preparation and tax-related questions.

For clients investing over $1,000,000 with Reilly Financial Advisors, we will prepare one U.S. tax return per year.

Estate Planning

Your estate can only go to three beneficiaries: your family and friends, charity, or to the government through estate taxes. Effective estate planning can help to lessen the impact that estate taxes may have on your estate, and may help from eliminating the legacy you have created over your lifetime.

Our estate planning strategy involves managing client portfolios (in conjunction with a designated estate planning attorney) to help ensure protection of the estate and to help leave a legacy to heirs. In addition to providing estate planning guidance, Reilly Financial Advisors will pay up to $3,500 toward the preparation of professional trust documents by an estate planning attorney for clients with $2,000,000 or more under management.

Just like a financial plan, your estate documents are living documents and need to be reviewed periodically to adjust for financial or lifestyle changes.
